Add to Default Workpad - Awasu Channel Hook

Description

This simple Awasu Channel Hook adds all items found by its attached Channel to Awasu's Default Workpad. The Default Workpad is the first Workpad listed in the Workpads dialog box. It does not mattter what the name of the Workpad is; if it's listed first in the Workpads dialog box, then it's the default Workpad.

Caveat: The feed items that are added to the Default Workpad by this Channel Hook will only display the URL of the feed item, they will not display feed item's Title. An upcoming version of Awasu will have functionality that far exceeds the capabilities of this Channel Hook, so I highly recommend that you update to Awasu 2.4 or newer.

This Channel Hook was written with ActiveState's distribution of Python 2.5. The source code is included. If this Channel Hook doesn't do exactly what you want are free to modify it within the limits of the license (below).

Installation and Configuration

1. Unzip the AddtoDefaultWorkpad.hook and AddtoDefaultWorkpad.exe files to the same directory.
   Preferably the {Awasu Install Directory}\ChannelHooks\AddToDefaultWorkpad directory but any directory will work.
2. Open a Channel's "Properties" dialog box, click on "Advanced", click on "New (Insert)", browse to the location where you unzipped the AddtoDefaultWorkpad.hook file and select it. "Ok" your way back out of the dialog boxes.
3. Optional: If you are having a conflict with the default TCP/IP port used by Awasu (2604) then you can change the value of it in the "AwasuAddToDefaultWorkpadURL" global parameter. Be careful to leave the rest of the URL as it (unless you've been instructed to change it from Taka).
